I had gone somewhere in the countryside to rest with the children, but at some point, a woman appeared whom I had not known from my previous life. She was demanding sex very loudly, fortunately the children didn’t hear this. A panicked escape ensued and I made it to a farmstead that had several outbuildings. I quickly explained my predicament to the mistress of the house who was near the building, and she hid me in the barn. A moment later the lustful creature was there too, asking the mistress where that man had gone. The mistress denied having seen anyone at all and introduced my children as her own grandchildren, strange that the lunatic didn’t figure it out, since those same children had just been with me moments before.
The lunatic went into a spin over the mistress’s lovely garden and asked permission to look around. The mistress cheerfully guided her toward the far corners of the garden, which gave me the opportunity to have a better look around. A little way from the barn there appeared to be an old garage with a car standing in front of it. When the mistress had gone past the barn, I slipped quickly into the garage hoping to find some thread to follow as to what to do next. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a completely empty space, the only object was a long bench near the window, which was for some reason fixed to the floor. I saw the mistress and my pursuer approaching quickly, threw myself onto the bench and played at being a pile of clothes, hoping I wouldn’t be recognised through the dusty windows. Fortunately, they walked past, though I felt with every cell of my body the lunatic sniffing out my presence in that building.
Leaving the garage, I examined the condition of the car. Looking under the bonnet, I couldn’t make much sense of anything, but a sixth sense told me the engine had seized and not to even bother trying. I checked the oil level for form’s sake; the dipstick was quite rusty. Further away was another car I hadn’t noticed before. As I started toward it, the mistress, the lunatic and the children appeared in the yard from behind the house. It was already beginning to grow dark, and the lunatic looked deep into my eyes and said: “Since morning is beginning in our world, I must hurry and unfortunately cannot stay any longer.” Right before all our eyes she simply vanished, a deep silence descended, and I woke with a start, the clock on the table showed five in the morning.
